Who is running the magazine?

The Western Standard’s publisher is Ezra Levant, a well-known Western advocate. Mr. Levant has ten years experience in the media, including writing for the Alberta Report, the Calgary and Edmonton Suns, and serving for two years on the editorial board of the National Post.

In addition to Ezra Levant, the Western Standard’s three other co-founders are Stephen Johnston, Sean McKinsley and Matthew Johnston - all of whom are senior executives from JMCK Communications Inc., a leader in public opinion research, mass market communications and technology. Stephen is the Western Standard’s CFO and is a seasoned venture capitalist with 8 years experience investing in European, start-up companies. Sean and Matthew have extensive experience in media and public relations and will lead circulation and advertising services, respectively.

JMCK is the polling company also owned by the co-founding managers of the Western Standard. They took the poll on Western Separatism. Are they trying to hide this fact, or did they just pick a funny time to do some website maintenance?

UPDATE:

Possible reasons for pulling this information:

* Site maintenance. (I find the timing odd).
* Bait. (Ezra takes them down to see who notices, then puts them back up, stating “You paranoid skitso!)
* Western Standard doesn’t want people to know about its push-polling methodology.
