Vent your telus frustrations, share your stories or just rage on the phone company that western Canadians just love to hate. Read over some of the comments, too.
I absolutelty HATE telus. they are lying bastards. all their services are contract based. sure you get a “free” computer when you get thier ADSL 3 year contract. If u want two cancel because the ADSL works…impossible! Cost me $480 to cancel my “rate protection plan” what a scam. Those liars will get thiers one day! Maybe a class action suit is in their future, sooner then they think!!!
Why is it that the sound of the automated voice, that claims to want to help me, makes my blood pressure rise and I instantly get in a crappy mood? If there was another option for a telephone service provider, I would take it.
I HATE TELUS I sell cellphones for telus at avu in bc there lying cheating bastards that mislead even there own cell selling pawns. About 1.5 months ago i sold a 580 aircard to a guy with the conect megabyte 100 unlimited plan and told him it was unlimited as the plan brosure clearly stated. the guy came back to the store frantic with a 14000.00 internet bill telus told him his limit was 250 megabytes and he was to pay at least 50% of the bill in order to keep his good credit rating.
the realy bad thing and themost dishartening thing is that on the plan brosure beside the stated (UNLIMITED) is a minute #1 wha the hell is it? Well if you flip the brosure over it says in very fine print “TELUS Mobillity reserves the right to limit usage to 100 megabytes per month” quote unquote.
those misleading money grubling loosers care more about screwing thier customers than coming up with a technology to allow there customers to use there product without blind faith.
some devious prick admin thought of this intentialy to rake in the millions and most likely got a huge cut
and im the stupid blind arse that caused it. not to mention that i also sined a good freind to an aircard for the same purpose. the 14000.00 was for the use of the aircard to play an online game called “world of war crack”
an extremely addictive online game that can easily be played on a dial up modem. half of 14000.00 hardly seems fair and if you sell a product for internet usage you should be able to use it especialy for 100.00 a month for a crappy slow internet connection.
If you’re pissed, check out some of the small VoIP phone service providers - switch to another Internet provider and port your phone number over to them! I run a small VoIP phone company that uses open-source software.. we try to meet all of our customers face-to-face. We are quite the opposite of what everyone is used to => fuguphone.com
telus took over three months to send me my first bill, and it came at Xmas. I emailed, phoned, (that damn cyborg thing)and they would not acknowledge they screwed up. My phone # was not even recognized by the cyborg. At first I was calm and believed they would clear it up as they said my bill would soon be sent. Well I found out differently. So I make a payment, and then in early Jan. I get the second bill, and the day after a notice that they’re unhooking my phone in two weeks if I don’t pay off the bill. If the idiots would of sent it on time I would of paid it.
Angry as I was I let my telus pay & Talk Cell run out, and will go to another company, maybe Virgin Mobile. I got a calling card (not telus) and make long distance calls with it. I drastically have reduced the amount of money I’m giving them. Now I’m researching for a different high-speed hookup service.
There are a lot of people angry with this so-called phone company. Some companies have poor customer service, telus doesn’t have such a thing.
If you have to call them and have to talk to that stupid cyborg thing, when they say this call may be recorded, let loose and let them know what you really think, someone has to listen to it, not that it will solve anything, but it’s at least one way to send them your message. Emails, faxes, phone calls, letters, boycotting their products, whatever we can do to let these greedy con artists that we are fed up with the way they do business!
I had a credit with telus after I closed my account - I figured they would send me a letter telling me this, and how to go about collecting my OVERPAYMENT. They did not, instead they took it upon themselves to simply eliminate my credit (almost $100) - by just converting my balance to $0. Oh..and didn’t even tell me. I had to sign in to telus.ca one day to see what was going on - only to see it was wiped out. Nice huh? Think they would have done that if I owed them money when I closed my account? They are useless!
I HATE TELUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I rue the day I signed with them. Where oh where to start…with their absolute incompetence, pain-in-ass “proceedural” way of handling issues, or their seeming focus on screwing the customer out of every cent they possibly can -even if it means manipulating them. “The Future is Friendly”…. F#@k that! I would tell all about the problems I had, but there is just not enough space for all of them…let’s just say it all began the first month whereby I signed on for a cheaper plan, yet found out by accident that they had actually signed me to their most expensive, then when I recieved my first bill I found so many extra charges that I ended up having it reduced $150.00!, my next bill over $80, and my third $15…naturally they made it as difficult as possible to navigate what I was being charged for -exactly- and why, clearly they would’ve been happy if I had just given up…but don’t worry, they got me back by charging me to see My Own statement a few later on….gotta love that. Then my first phone broke, 2 weeks after my warrenty expired, I recived inaccurate information from the telus rep and ended up buying a cheaper quality phone with no camera only to find the same one I had before (and wanted again) for half of that at london drugs. Did they make it right? Of course not. Now, after having my new phone for only a few months, it is no longer working (no incoming), too bad I will have to pay to “rent” a replacement phone from them since I only have a cell, while mine takes forever to be fixed…oh, and did I mention I’m stuck with them for another 2 years??? One day telus senior staff will be right in there with the lawyers and politicans as the least liked by the people…oh, wait, they’re already there. I can’t wait until the day my contract runs out and I can cancel service…and the moment they beg me and offer me all that they should have in the first place just to stay with them…I hope they record my hysterical laughter for “Quality Control”…
Hate is a strong word, usually reserved for mortal enemies and evil beings. Or Telus. I hate Telus with every fiber of my being.
I HATE TELUS!
I hate their ‘voice recognition customer support system’ that can’t understand anything. When I tell it ‘go **** yourself you stinking piece of ****’ it responds with ‘I heard you say you want to change your automated payment information.’ When I say ‘Change my automated payment information’ it says ‘I’m sorry… it sounds like you want to be bent over a barrel and ****ed repeatedly as I transfer you back to the main menu.’
I HATE TELUS!
I hate Telus’ inability to transfer my account from BC to Alberta, even though they have a monopoly in both provinces. “I’m sorry… you’ll have to call Telus BC about transferring.” “I’m sorry you’ll have to call Telus AB about that” Hey Telus, you collection of dumb****s, ever thought that someone might move between provinces at some point. Then you finally get someone who has an ounce of backbone and is willing to try and help you on the phone and this is what you find hear “You
will have to pay a disconnection fee for both your phone and internet here in Alberta and then pay fees to set up a new account in BC. And, oh yeah, you can’t keep the email address you’ve had for five years because Telus BC is a little bit different from Telus AB and we’re too ****ing incompetent to do anything about it.”
I HATE TELUS!
I hate Telus’ internet support. You call them up because the internet service is interrrupted and they responds “Is your computer turned on?” “Is the phone line plugged into the wall?” “Is the high speed modem plugged into the computer?” All I want to say is “Is your pea sized brain plugged into your spine?” You know it’s bad when you’re begging them to connect you to the automated voice system.
You people are hillarious. Take no responsibility for your own actions. Think that companies should babysit you. Are you crazy do you have a clue about business and contracts, no one is pulling your pants down here. Stupid is as stupid does. And the guy with pay and talk you dont get a bill moron, HENCE PAY AND TALK. HILLARIOUS.
I have completely reduced my long distance calls. I use a CiCi card at 3 cents a minute over Telus’s 7 cents a minute.
I realize that we are responsible for our own actions but in my case and many others Telus was not responsible for their actions. If I sent you a bill three or four months late expecting you to pay it all, and then when you couldn’t because of budget concerns threatened to unhook your phone, then who is responsible?
Check your bills throughly, make sure your not being over-charged.
In the US for example up to 80% of businesses are overcharged on their phone bills. http//www.NewsTarget.com/015625.html
Man telus sucks i cannot even get highspeed here because they will not upgrade my phone lines i have to get stuck with paying more for dialup that for highspeed
i cannot switch to a different company because they just use the same lines as telus.
I HATE telus. The automated service makes me want to break my phone with my hand when it speaks to me. My bill is ALWAYs wrong, and I have to call those money grabbing bastards every flipping month to get them to change all the over charges. How many people just don’t look through thier phone bill, and have it automatically taken out of their account? Or just don’t say anything. As soon as Im done with all my contracts Im switching to Shaw. I will never deal with Telus again.
this is in regards to Darcy’s posting . well I guess you maid a huge mistake by lying to the customer . just sio you know telus as any other provider NEVER ADVERSTISED THE UNLIMITED DATA USAGE . the abuse is charged and the plan offered 250 MB . Maybe YOU DID NOT DO YOUR JOB BY READING THE BULLETINS > THAT”S WHY YOU DON”T WORK FOR THEM ANYMNORE . I m a Telus Employee and believe I m the first one when it comes to say things straights. telus is definitely a HUGE company and profits is our number one priority . But WE TREAT WELL OUR CUSTOMERS SOMETIMES THERE IS SOME CASE WHERE THERE ARE SOME DISCREPANCIES BUT WHEN YOU COMPARE TELUS VS FIDO OR ROGERS come on guys!!! Try to be fair !.
At janelle and the others> The automated service was build to simplify the treatments of the calls by dispatching them to the correct reps. you still have the otion to be transfered to a rep as any other other automated service by the way > PRESS 0…. basic knowledge actually Hope this will help you next time
BLUES you really are stupid i m sorry to say that : you have a pay& talk and you were expecting a bill ?? And you dare write it ?? Are you that stupid . You don’t deserve a cellphone neither a basic electronic device. Just hold with you fridge and your black and white tv … you will be fine . The 21 rst century is definiteley not for you!!!
Brent > You make an overpayment and you have adue balance . The comon business sense would be to take that overpayment and pay the due amount what’s the point of sending them the money and then wait until you will receive a cheque by the mail ???
Aziz, the bill was for my regular home phone, I shut down my pay & talk out of anger because they sent my home bill late. I use a Ci Ci card to reduce long distant calls. Sorry if it was not clear to you!.. and your right I don’t deserve a cell phone, I’ve learned to get along fine without one. Even less money to greedy phone companies, and I don’t have a TV (weapon of mass distraction) either. TV turn off week April 23-29 http://www.turntvoff.org
well Blue you have a problem with your home phone and you shut down your cell phone . did’nt you know that the wireline and the wireless services are different . We are within the same company but we are definetly seperate . Not the same customer service and FIY you can get your bill through the internet or by dialing the IVR system… you don’t have to wait until until you get your bill hnady to pay . if there is errors well they fix them … anyway you don’t deserve a TV either …neither a a house or internet go back to the farm that’s the best thing you could do dude …
I concidered Telus internet and had phoned and hooked it up, I apparently had a 10 day buyer right to cancel, so I called and cancelled 1 hour later after getting a better deal from shaw. BUT they never cancelled my service like I had asked. They actually hooked my service up to the WRONG phone line. It was never on any bill that I had been still charged for a service I cancelled within my 10 Days. When I cancelled my phone line they back charged my account and gave me a $280 cancellation fee, which made my bill come to over $700 for back charged internet charges. All that time I was connected with SHAW NOT TELUS but was forced to pay because they cut off all of my land lines and at that time only TELUS was providing landline phone service so I HAD to pay. The only money that I was refunded was $160 and that was half of the cancellation fee. So they have now taken me to collection because I REFUSE to pay the remaing balance that I owe them which is $165. I am and will be waiting for my $400!!!!
I was on hold for 20 minutes waiting for TELUS customer support. The voice kept saying “We’ll be with you in an instant (lies!). You’re so mportant to us.” But then, after the 20 min., the voice said, “We’re sorry, your call can’t be completed at this time. Please try your call again later.” AND THEN THE PHONE LINE TO TELUS ACTUALLY WENT DEAD! Anyway, I tried to install their stupid software, got a Microsoft message saying, basically, “Don’t install this unless you want to risk damaging your operating system.” So, given the choice between trusting TELUS or Gates, I’ll actually choose Bill any day. I won’t to continue the installation. I shipped TELUS back their stupid modem. But of course, although the risk to my operating system voids the contact they think we have, they want to charge a $120 cancellation fee! I’ve never used the service, I couldn’t install the software, and I have none of their hardware. Yup. I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! I HATE TELUS! Yay! Now I feel slightly better! But how do they stay in business?! (And that 16-cent refund on my bill for their documented poor service was sort of a joke, eh?)
I HATE TELUS!!! Working there is worse. Do you know why? Because Telus’s customers are whiners. They whine about their bills, about their service. Come on people, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! we here to provide a good customer service and you guys just abuse them. For people who work for retail, you know what that is like.
telus is billing me for all sorts of extra services that I never asked for. Yesterday I called service help
and was informed that my account would be reviewed and would be called for an explanation
of the costs , as of now have not received a call Could you please give me a email address to contact customer services. Gel no help by telephone I sent them a letter and got no reply
I intend to hire a lawyer to take them to court. is this a good idea, also I am not payinw the bill until I get an explanation
Thank you for your help. Tony Freeman
in 2004 i signed a contract for mobility service.there catch was, sign up now and receive 3 months of service free.well after 3 months i received a bill for the first 3 months that was supposed to be free.i was furious,i called telus and told them that this was out ragous andi was being ripped off.they told me that the center that served me must have made a mistake and that i owed telus 3 months bill.i immediately told telus that they breached their contract and i wanted to discontinue there service.i never turned the phone on after that.sometime later i received a letter in the mail from a collection firm stating that i owed them over $700.00 for my telus bill.i called the collection firm and told them what had happened to me.they said that they would look into it for me.i called telus back and asked why i was in the credit department.they told me that if i didn’t pay my bill thats where i go.i told them what had happened to me and that if i missed a payment that i would be cut off.well the shoe is on the other foot.i feel that a contract was breached and i didn’t need there services anymore.they told me that they would look into it and rectify any problems.they never got back to me.im still in the credit burough
I just got to say that all of you who complain about the automated message system have a thing or two to learn about technology today. If you were any smarter you would press maybe 1 for english and repeated pressings of 0 will get you immediately forwarded to a operator.
Holy crap how could people be so dumb…
No rogers and bell are the ones you should be upset with, if you keep pressing 0 they will actually cut you off and hang up on you. Now tell me which would you prefer. And BELL especially, all their technicians are outsourced in INDIA, nothing wrong with the people over there, if all the ones they hired spoke proper ENGLISH and atleast know how things works outside of the manual. The nerve of the rep trying to tell me that I cant receive a phone signal or an internet signal without having filter plugs in all my phone jacks
Let me begin…I Hate Telus. I was previously with Shaw digital, and found it awesome, but moved to a location without Shaw services. I signed up with Telus home phone and ADLS lite. My monthly expenses were expected to be around $65…my first bill $250!! They charged me over $35 in setup fees (which I setup my own internet), $100 for the ADLS modem, $10 shipping for the modem, and took the liberty of signing me up for additional internet options at $5 a month. When I had Shaw, I purchased a modem for $60 and had it installed within two days by Shaw’s installers. I am presently fighting this bill with Telus. As soon as Shaw comes to my area I’m switching. Thankfully I didn’t sign a contract with Telus.
I had my anniversary with Telus in May. I had called them 200 times between Jan 05. I live in a rural area by Montana. As Telus received a monopoly in exchange for a PROMISE to provide high speed internet by the year of 2006…they have a block on any American firms getting us as customers. I moved here September…I advertised for tennants for the other home. They were given a phone number and told it would be hooked up when they arrived from Montreal Nov 01. When they arrived, they were jerked around for two weeks. I then became involved and was told
1. They don’t do ANY rural new lines after October 15
2. I would have to pay an additional 500$ to have a line converted to them.
I had two lines coming into my home…one for the computer and one for the phone (dial up). I offered to give them my computer line and we each could use dial up. I had PAID around 200$ to have this line put in…meaning, they just hit the switch as it was already to my home. They charged me for DISCONNECTING my line and charged me to CONNECT it to the other home.
When I complained, the young “lady” told me I should have done my research before I had a line move into my own home for the computer. I told her my tennants were given a number…she told me that didn’t prove anything AND told me maybe I shouldn’t have moved to Coutts in the first place.
After the line was put in, they were able to ANSWER MY PHONE> I phoned to complain…I was told this was my imagination. I had my tennants call. They were told “not to answer”. How would they know if it was for me or for them. I reminded Telus, that I had to pay AGT over 2500$ many years ago in De Winton Alberta and that would guarantee me a private line ANYWHERE in Alberta….Although I am on a private line…it would appear it was a party line. I wanted the money paid back to me. I was told they no longer honored those contracts.
I had problems as my internet could not send nor receive. I called many times as it was critical that I receive information for my work from home. ONE TELUS employee told me I was pathetic and lonely as I was calling them all the time. I asked for his first name and a number…i.e. those employee numbers they give customers…he refused…I asked to be transferred to the office of the president…he refused…and then told me to go to another company as Telus was sick of me and my problems and I was the only one in my area to EVER have a complaint. (Not so…I attended a coffee meeting of over 25 locals who had been told the same thing)…Anyway, they did find there were cracks on the line from the highway and also up to the point of entry at my property. This was somewhat fixed in June. When a person is complaining…I find it amazing that their recordings offer the caller a full time job with Telus…hmmm…they have pissed me off. They give you information…i.e. advertising dates for the yellow pages…I called…told I missed the deadline.I told them what I was told was the date and I was told that I was “inventing things”. This by a nice lady supervisor. I guess I did laugh when one agent told me “Guess it sucks to be you” and then he hung up. I have NEVER uttered a profanity to any CSR or manager. I have asked that they provide the service under CHRT agreements OR relinquish their monopoly. OR refund me money for an unastable service. I have been told that if your complain is legitimate…they are to turn you down THREE TIMES….before any adjustment can be made. This from a buddy who worked in their Calgary Call centre. I HAVE NEVER HAD SUCH POOR SERVICE, FROM ILLINFORMED CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS AND PATRONIZED BY MANAGERS IN MY LIFE. I used to work for Canadian Airlines. I KNOW customer service and quality. TELUS AIN’T IT. If anyone is going to go for a class action suit…please let me join. This is a company out of control….. Leo
Reading the previous posts….Aziz…you are a typical rude Telus employee. First let me remind you that the money made from the customers does pay you for your work time with Telus. Telus is well known within the industry of making it difficult for their customers. I realize technology is required. SINCE yours is so good…then why is it I have to put my number into the phone and your agents ask for it again. Why is it I request Business and receive residential. Why is it when I am told I will be transferred to business internet…they either drop the call OR transfer me incorrectly. I understand you are very busy. With this terrible service, I am sure you must have a very long cue of disgruntled callers. I have tried pressing the 0 and when you do it, you go BACK into the cue. You know that…so why are you making it sound like it is a dumb customer. YOU are the csr. I would rather deal with a polite person in India than a rude Telus agent in Canada. Oh, by the way…your Telus csr’s tried to tell me that they didn’t OFFER phone and internet service to SASKATCHEWAN…after I identified I was in Coutts Alberta. I do not know if this is just a corporate culture of corruption which passes down the ranks to the people answering the phone OR if this just reflects the quality of the CSR’s. My buddy couldn’t handle working in Calgary for Telus due to the micro management AND the managers condoning poor customer service.
The fact that you have to swear at people on this forum…and say all Telus customers are whiners SHOWS me and the rest of the readers that our complaints are justified.
Like others, WHEN the monopoly is lifted OR their is an alternative..I am gone. In my business, if I do not do what I say, then I compensate my customers…I don’t screw up often. I guess, as Telus doesn’t make legitimate adjustments without a fight…when they really screw up…they feel no need to compensate. Guess that shows that Rogers is becoming a major threat to Telus. Too bad they aren’t down here for land lines. I have had to call them and have to admit…for the mobile division, they are the best….
I am sure someone will have a “nasty” reply for my observations
Telus is one of the most apreciated telecom provider in Canada, 80% of your complain are nonsence (by example if u can’t have highspeed it’s because you living too far from civilisation). Telus is a compagny who try to offer the best service possible ok. And by the way if you don’t like to talk to a machine just press 0 you stupid
OK, I know so many people who hate telus that its not even funny. They only reason that they survive as a company is dirty buisness, monopoly, and should-be conflict of interest political ties.
So Telus customers are whiners??? I wonder why?
The internet is SLOW, has fucked up non-user friendly configuration (shaw is so easy its not funny), and their bills are arranged in such a way that no one knows whats going on (not even reps). I used to have an account with them, and remember the headache. I just moved into a house with a fucking telus contract, and these feelings are all flooding back. I just spent all evening trying to set my mac address with them, so that i could do my online homework, but it keeps booting me off. Waiting half an hour on the phone (esp when calling back after already waiting a half hour) is unacceptible.
They are the only company i have ever experienced that are so dirty that they dont need to keep their customers happy. Monopoly + politics.
Wireline:
if you dont like the prices or install move charges, thats too bad. There is nothing you or TELUS can do to change it. Long distance and ADSL may not be regulated, but phone service and PCMS sure is, right down to the penny. Bitch about that and you might as well bitch to the crtc. That being said, if you dont like it then leave, there are other companies out there that want your business, however they are still companies too and you may be surprised that they arent chomping at the bit to trench lines to your house and do it for free because you paid some other company a decade ago for a different service. Common sense would dictate that $560 is a bargain when it is going to cover the cost of running wires, equipment and paying for trenching to get service to your house. If you dont agree, buy a shovel, go to home depot and purchase 500m of telephone cable that is outdoor rated and some conduit to run it in, and do it in November.
If you are bitter over any contract you have for a free pc or $400 off of a PC at future shop or whatever, i have no sympathy. You can go on and on about the evil empire, point is you took the deal, now deal with it. As for cell phones, i know it sucks when they break, however i have had a phone break with all 3 companies, and i have found no difference, it turns out none of them, rush to buy you a new phone. That said, Rogers wouldnt let me remove the voicemail and features off my cell when it was in the shop for 3 months, so that was salt in the wound. As for rate plans, read the fine print and know what you are getting into, if you dont like working for telus, dont. If you dont like using telus, then dont. Nobody is making you, and dont forget, people leave shaw for telus too, so i dont think that makes telus the only company people are unhappy with….
I don’t agree with everything TELUS does, nor do i believe any of you should. As a seasoned TELUS agent i have heard every kind of complaint you can imagine, and i will say, some of it is pretty unreasonable. “My bill was a day late, i want a year free” “My cordless phone was dead, TELUS is responsible for paying all my cell phone charges” etcetera. However most are legitimate concerns and queries. That being said, people dont think for themselves anymore. If you didn’t get your statement but you received the service, you know you will have to pay something, sure you shouldn’t be held for late fees, but come one, you knew you had to pay. To expect less is to be naive. Instead the culture of lawsuits take over, even on here people speak of class action suits. Whoever owns cheerios, (general mills maybe?) lost a class action suit, had to give all parties a free box of cheerios. Oh yeah, the lawyers collected 7 mil. Who won? IT is your responsibility to know waht you are signing up for. If you dont, then its on you to deal with it. Many people are aware of the shaw cahnnel on tv, its great community events and weather, a boon to the community. However when TELUS had an 80000 line outage in southwest calgary this channel played an endless stream of its shaw phone ads, and a news clip of people saying how unsafe they feel that telus cannot provide them phone service. 2 days later, the cause of the outage is revealed, Shaw techs were working on a burried set of lines and accidentally cut the TELUS lines. The shaw channel never did mention that though. Anyways, if you ever want to know what good telus does, do look into its give where we live campaign, and if you wanna chew the fat about this, drop me a line themagoo@telus.net
one thing however is the disclaimer: My views are entirely that, not that of the company TELUS or any of its affiliates or partners. I will happily share my opinions with you but will not discuss personal details or individual accounts, nor make any deals with you, dont bother trying. I also suffer from twokids disorder, and will be slow in my reply. Have a good day, and to the other rep, lighten up, they do pay our paychecks.
I have a phone that has finished it’s Telus contract and I moved to an area that doesn’t have full digital coverage. Telus told me that i’d be fully covered in this region which I’m not. THEN I tried to place a call and was automatically routed to Telus. They said that I have no coverage in that area and didn’t believe me when i was actually talking to them via my cell phone.
Now I have to switch networks but my phone apparently “belongs to telus” according to them.
Slightly annoying.
As crappy as Telus is, they have improved immensely over the last year or so. I guess all the complaints to the CRTC had an effect. If you have a problem with Telus, that is one recourse - complain to the CRTC.
Got the free computer with TELUS and signed the 3 year deal. OMG, when the computer arrived I thought it was some kind of joke. Its a dinosaur and takes 10 minutes to load. The moniter is now obsolete and they give them away at garages sales. Made in China for dirt cheap all the while TELUS saying they are worth over $600.00 retail - no way if I was to buy this it would have to be second hand and definately for less than $100.00. I would never ever buy a computer from Lenovo, its definately a no name computer and it shows. Now I’m stuck with a three year deal with Telus and a computer I absolutely cannot use. Computers were not this slow when they invented them. Please take my advice DO NOT GET THE FREE LENOVO COMPUTER FROM TELUS.
do try to find a new pc for under $500 including a monitor, not likely unless you find a clearance deal. That said, your pc does have room for more ram (the biggest lenovo free pc problem) and a dedicated graphics card. Tha latter being unavailable on nearly all entry level systems, so for less than $250 you can have it running faster than what you might by for 6 or 7 hundred. Its easy to do if you want more speed. And as far as who lenovo is, its usually better to research a topic before sounding off on it. Lenovo is the owner of IBM’s PC division, and the fourth largest PC Manufacturer in the world http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lenovo
this month I had three different prices to pay for my bill.. and every time I got it settled by complaining on the telephone.. all I have to do is hang up phoned them again get someone new and it’s a fight all over again.. with absolutely new prices.. this company is sad.. it’s the worst.. and yes they don’t mean to be lying creepy jerks.. but they’re trained to be that way by a faulty system.. from a faulty company.
So yes unfortunately they are lying slimy piece is a crap for a company.. it’s easy to hate this company. Too easy. They are the stupidest business and are setting records for this daily… I have problems with them constantly..
I’m looking for an article or any other info on the Telus email server being hacked. It was broadcast on Global Edmonton on the 6pm news, Friday Oct. 19th of this year.
I can’t find anything about it online! It stated that business information was compromised & to notify Telus if they receive unsoliscited emails and/or phone calls.
My Grandmother Died a few days ago and when I went to cancel her plan the guy said that because her partner is on the same bill event though they have different numbers and accounts they cant cancel the contract. the guy at the store was disgusted with telus and said he hated working for them. Telus wants $600 to cancel teh contract of a dead woman. Fucking bastards when my contracts up im going to another company.
I hate Telus with a sick passion! They’re a bunch of lying crooks! All they do is scam people fpr their money! I have had enough of these companies thinking that there isnt anything, we “the people” can do to really put a dent in their company. If I knew a way you better believe I would do it, along with many other pissed off customers that are sick of being “taken” for by these assholes!
I have spent the last 2 days trying to get a rep to help me with my telus service. I asked them to put my cell phone on vacation a week ago. So I guess they did that …. but it wasn’t supposed to be til a later date. While they were changing that they also decided to take the liberty to (starting right as we spoke) take off my voice mail. So needless to say no one could leave me msgs. nor could I retrieve them. Try to call to have them fix it. That will take you at least a week to get through. It f######king sucks. I have dialed even the 1-800-400-2598 phone number given by my mobile help person to get my residential and internet changed and with NO help. I have tryed staying on the line only to finaly be disconnected over and over. Then I tried choosing the option where I am told they will return my call within 3 minutes. I finally get a call back telling me I am next in line. I hold and……. low and behold….. I get, “The number you have dialed is not in service”. Which leads me to believe they just hung up and of course I waited and waited and waited and ….. you get the point. They lost the connection and never bothered to rephone back. I am NOT Happy! I am looking at changing my service to a company that can meet their customers needs. I am leaving for the states and need to put my house phone on vacation mode but I do not want my voice mail off because it is tied in with my security system. I was going to leave my internet for the boarder to use but now I am thinking of cancelling it. I hope the CRTC Shuts these suckers down!!!
I HATE TELUS…I cannot even express how much. Why is that when I want to cancel a contract I have to pay $20 or so for the rest of the term (which in my case terns out to be $400). Rep. will tell you:
- “ohh, well you’ve free phone”…
- yeee, right, but my did not cost $400
Fucking morrons…it’s looks like monopolly, becuase all other cell companies the SAME.
So here it is. I ordered Telus high speed internet, contract based, 3 year term, for which I was supposed to receive a free Lenovo Computer. I got my “conformation of order” email towards the end of October. At the end of that email, it stated they would be sending a second email relaying my tracking number and shipping dates, within two weeks. Then about 3 days later they called to let me know it would take an extra week to get that email containing my tracking number out to me…. Well it’s now been over four weeks. I’ve called to speak to Telus reps, who are rude, barely speak audible English (not that I’m by any means racist… just how useful is it to your average canadian, who is a customer of Telus, to get any help when the rep thats on the phone is of Asian origin and their accent is overly heavy). The only thing they can do is “Escalate” this issue. WTF. Send me my computer! If I do not have a computer mailed to me by Jan 08th (my upcoming birthday) I will be cancelling. If they think they are gonna screw me over with a bunch of cancellation fees for breaking contract they got another thing coming. Maybe people are right when they say Telus has a class action law suit coming up. Anyways just found this site, thought I would relate my frustrations to the world of people that have been F*cked over by Telus. I’ll keep you posted on the length of time it takes to deliver my computer…. or the amount of fees they try to send me for canceling.
my mom ordered telus for the free computer crap the computer sucks ass and the internet is so damn crappy i always get kick out of battlefield cos i have a high ping what the fack. im not getting what i pay for
I have had telus cell phone for the last 7 years and I can tell you one thing — THESE B*STS*RDS DO NOT KNOW WHAT A CUSTOMER IS!!
I had an old plan for which I was paying $35 a month untill my phone stopped working and I needed a new one. I called telus and some bimbo told me if I signed a 2yr contract I will get a free phone and my monthly rate will remain almost the same. My first bill a month later was $77!!! I called cust. service(yeah right) and asked them what the hell was wrong with my bill. they said there is nothing wrong with the bill, I was now being billed “by the minute” as apposed to “by the second” and every thing was now being charged at a much higher rate. I asked to be put back on my previous plan but they refused. Some “manager” flatout denied that I was misled to the extent of calling me a liar!!
its a cash grab. Every time you call these a-hols they have some college dropout phone rep. who seems to have perfect understanding of the “business world”. idiots!
I have had my first bad encounter with in over 6 years, I guess I was lucky! What I have found out that anyone can use your cell phone number to text anyone and you would never know! telus does not give the option to stop the use of it on their website, they will not tell when, or by who, or their IP address etc, when someone has used your cell number to contact and harass others. I never knew that this could even happen, think about all the people that have your cell number or could get from a friend or whatever, and they could use that to text all the druggy friends that they have drop to make, and the cops would trace it back to you! Seriously I called and asked and cops did not even know that anyone can use any number to text anyone. I am not sure about you but I pay my bills to have MY number that only I can use or give other permission to use! This service needs to be made aware to everyone and if Telus refuses to add a password or give customers the option to have the PC used to text and not just their phone. If you are on facebook check out my group, and contact telus or any other provider that their needs to be better privacy on YOUR phone number!
TELUS are a band of lying stealing swindlers. They charge me a fortune for a crappy phone (two shit Nokias and a crappy razr)and simply smile and say sorry when I fail to get calls and messages on a regular basis. If there was an alternative I’d pay the break fee. Don’t sign a contract with these fucktards. I hope they go bankrupt. The government is also screwing as all by allowing a cell phone monopoly to exist in canada.
I Hate Telus. I read the responses of Aziz and a couple of other Telus employees. Aziz states a number of people are stupid, another telus service repr states that customers are whiners and for us to Shut the F–k up.
Aziz command of English seems to be rather limited, which does not suprise be, it been ages since I spoke to anyone at Telus who spoke inteligable English. And to the customer service people who thinks customers are whiners, did it ever occur to you that these people collectively pay your wages AND they would much rather be enjoying good service rather than trying to get Telus to provide the services the customer pays for.
Rather than vent here people, please take the time to contact CRTC with your complaints. I suggest that you also take the time to reread your correspondence prior to sending and correct any obvious errors. If we all encourage friends and family who have problems with this band of screwups to write to CRTC rather than becoming more frustrated with their inept service representatives and substandard service, we might actually get a provider who’s Future is Friendly.
Please contact us in the way that best suits your needs.

I logged in to the Telus website to review my bill and found that I had a $160.98 credit on my accoubt. Thinking this was odd and obviously wanting the money, I called Telus and told them. They said that I had logged in to my old account by accident and that waas the balance of the new customer who had my old number. My username was linked to the phone number and not my account number. I was looking at someone else’s bill. I gor transferred and they rectified the problem and I went to sign in again to review my actual account and bill and the websit was down.
Last year, I had a Telus account (the old number I just referenced above) and I moved about 2 blocks away in to my buddy’s house. I wanted to the get the account transferred there, which they said would require a lot of money, etc. but they said that they could provide me with the same number as an extra ring on my buddy’s phone account. They needed his approval, which they received as I had him phone in and approve it. They said it would take a couple of days to move the account and activate the number as an extra ring. Over a week went by and the number kept going straight to voicemail. Then I phoned and then number was no longer in service. I phoned Telus and they said that they couldn’t transfer the number to my friend’s house because it was out of the service area and it needed to be changed which would cost money. The only reason I wanted the number was so people would get a hold of me because my other friends all knew that number. I told Telus that I was literally 2 block away and the power poles branched off the one near where my friend lived and went down the dead-end road where I used to live and carried the phone line. They said there was nothing they could do. Then I asked them to look in to my account and see if there were any notes from the previous person saying they could do it and there wasn’t and that my account was actually closed.
On a similar note, my dad and his wife just moved in to a new development surrounded by older homes and had their phone number moved from their home which was about a 4 minute drive away, a couple of kilometres. Their phone would not work and they phined telus to ask why. Telus said they couldn’t transfer their number because it was out of the service area and they had to get a new one. My dad had ordered this service change weeks prior and there was no indication that there was any problems until now. My dad couldn’t get his voicemail on his line when he phoned his number from another phone, he talked to a couple of friends and found that some had left voicemails on his number. He phoned Telus and asked why he couldn’t retrieve them and they didn’t know. He aksed how he could get them and they said they didn’t know where they were. The voicemails were lost. My dad inisisted that they give them their number and connection back as they need the house phone, especially for emergency contact as his wife’s son is in the military and that is the contact number. They said there is nothing the could do. My dad’s wife walked around the new neighbourhood and got the phone numbers of a number of the homes and there were several that had the same predix as what they were trying to transfer. They phoned back Telus and told them this, they didn’t beleive her, she gave them the names, addresses and phone numbers of the people, Telus verified. They were quite surprised and said they shouldn’t be able to have those numbers and that there was some glitch that allowed that. Eventually they transferred the number to my dad’s house. All that for what? They could have done it the whole time, are they tryig to charge transfer fees or new number fees when they are not required?
So i’ve signed up for a razor 3year contract and all was well, then after two months of my bill being far more then the salesmen said it was going to be I became unemployed.
I called telus to let them know I just got out of work and wanted to have my account “suspended” until i could get back into work. After a month or so I invoice saying my bill is around 240. Couple days later another comes in saying your account will be deactivated and what not, then a bill comes in for $1060.41! Talk about being f*cking sc*ewed over!
Ahhh Telass… Had these morons for my cell phone but I was lucky and didn’t use a contract.
The fucking morons charged me airtime for listening to my freaking voicemails.. yeah fun.
Got better… I had a choice between these guys and another company for employment.. DON’T EVER GO WORK FOR THESE PEOPLE!!!
what they don’t tell you is if you don’t pass a exam at the end of your training you don’t get the freaking job.. even though they give you a test before the interview to see if you qualify for the bloody position.. future is friendly my ass.
And they’ll tell you even though you’re being hired on as a part timer not to worry you’ll have your hours… they cut my hours down to 20 a week my 3rd week there. How the hell do they expect people to pay the freaking rent.
And all I hear is how some people that work there are miserable due to incompetent managers who will screw their employee’s over.
Happy to say my cell is no longer with this company.. and I found a better job within a month of being there. Good riddance to garbage.
Idiots.. the lot of them.. don’t take out your frustrations on the poor schleps that work the phone… just send a box of crap to their upper management to show them what you think of the way they run things.
Last month i cancelled both my phone and internet. Made a fine switch to SHAW (happy happy). Now telus continues to send bills for services i don’t have and DENY I cancelled….I’m contacting CRTC
okay i have a pay and talk phone. I’ve been talking on it for a LONG time so i thought hey, maybe i should add my 10 dollar phone card to it. So i follow telus instructions to dial #123 from my mobile phone. It answered and said blah blah blah for engish service press 1 or french 2, so i press 1, and IT GOES TO MY VOICEMAIL! i cant add any money to my account now!!! when i go on the site…Sorry, we are experiencing system problems, and its only liek that for MY account. Please try again later. i have definately talked on it for about 2 hours so far, does telus plan on cutting me off?? I mean, somewhere on the site it says my balance is $0.00, so why is it still letting me talk?? and also, i’ve downloaded 2 games, 7 dollars each i think. all that was on my phone was 15 dollars, SO WHY AM I STILL ABLE TO TALK, DOWNLOAD THINGS, AND TEXT MESSAGE?! and when i am able to add my phone cards onto it, r they gonna go directly to 0.00 becasue of all that i’ve talked and downloaded. PLEASE HELP ME!!! I HATE TELUS SO MUCH AND IM LOOKING FOR SOME SERIOUS HELP. email soccerchick.150@hotmail.com and post here too!! i’ll be checking!
telus is trying to charge me for their lenova computer deal too ..it is a very nasty scam , i am sending complaints to the ceo and president of telus, Darren Entwhistle #31-10020-100 street NW, edmonton ab T5J 0N3 maybe he can help if mot i will keep sending to the crtc and who ever else wants to know… if there is a class action law suit count me in …still no resolution at this time, but i am hopeful ..I HATE TELUS.for their exploitation of this 0offer gone awry
one other thing ..telus records all the conversations that their customers call in how about the privacy of information act, telus must by law release that info to the customer you must apply for it but it is a step.it may help with all the lies anddenial that telus offers.. I still hate telus
I ordered highspeed internet from telus on a month to month basis, and I call back and they say Im under contract for a year. I hate scumbag lying salepeople. What has the world come to that now i have to record all my calls.
I’m trying to help a neighbor who got the Telus free computer deal. We got the Lenovo computer turned on, and installed Telus e-Protect software, and then the system ground to a virtual halt. I tried over a period of two hours to configure the Outlook Account settings: it takes about 20 minutes each time for the Account dialogue to open. And the app keeps asking me if it should remember the user’s password. What on earth is wrong?! Is it the motherboard? Is it the third party software? Is it Vista? Is it the shortage of RAM? Or is the Lenovo system just plain junk? I would appreciate any opinion. If there’s a support board for this kind of thing, please let me and future visitors know! TIA!
We signed a three year contract with Telus and they told us that as long as we don’t go over our minutes then our monthly statements should be no more than $150.00. Wrongo! We have never seen a bill for less that $250.00 and we have never gone over our minutes. Every time I call them to say they are over charging me they have some excuse as to why which makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. When I went higher up to speak to someone else they said they would reverse some of the ridiculous charges and the next bill I got, there they were again. To this day I have not paid the charges I was told would be taken off. If there is a cell phone company out there that doesn’t hose their customers please let me in on the secret. Telus customer service reps are rude and their salespeople are seriously lacking in knowledge when it comes to the product and services the company offers. I am so glad they don’t have a monopoly here in Ontario and for all you westerners, you have my most sincere sympathy.
Telus sucks. I cant wait until my family switches to shaw. Playing an online game on the internet, and bam, 3 minutes of down time, and then bam, works again. FUCK YOU telus, we pay you decent money for shitty internet and service. I truely hope your company fails in the next 10 years for causing so much unneeded stress in the average persons life. To your committed employees, I would blush if anyone asked me where I worked.
I hate all Canadian cell phone providers. Much better in the US of A where there is more choice. However, Telus is particularly irritating. They put a credit limit on my account because “we’re sooorry eh but you have an american credit card eh and there is no doot that we can’t verify your credit history eh.” Seriously, its a credit card. Its collateral in any country. I haven’t had problems using it anywhere else, not sure what the hell Telus’s problem is but they are just so backward and incompetent its unbelievable. And its so damn socialist here that they can charge ridiculous prices on top of ridiculous taxes because they have basically no competition, because of all the artificial barriers to entry the government has set up. However, if I ever have to live in Canada again I would totally use Virgin Mobile or someone else. Telus and United Airlines are tied for most incompetent company in the world.
Fuck you telus, fuck you. I can’t connect to my work SMTP server while I’m on your shitty network, and I can’t use your fucking SMTP server while I’m outside of your network.
Is this catch 22 a way of discouraging users from using SMTP at all? You fucking jackasses are never going to get another penny of out me, my family, and if I can help it, my friends.
ARRRRRRRGGGGGGG I came home on friday to yet another fucking smartcall return in my email inbox jackass says they have no way of knowing exactly what my download speeds are so i did a complete speed test for them over last weekend and guess on ENHANCED HIGH SPEED I am getting less than a hundred kbps cant play a game cant surf more than one site at a time is Shaw any better???
Telus Sux, period…. i hate them, really hate to deal with them now…. anyone here use shaw digital phone system? would you share some light if that service is better than telus….
Telus has screwed the world over i see. Here’s my issue..
Traded in my LG (which was turning itself off for no reason)for a Moto Q. Big mistake.
-a month after getting the phone i can no longer recieve text, a couple of day later i can’t send.
-i call Telus and they tell me that “this appears to defective phone and it has to be repaired, oh and this may take 6 weeks OH and you have to pay a $75 dollar deposit for a loaner”
- i call and battle with a customer service rep about the injutice of having to wait for my phone to be repaired when i have only had it for a month, an i juat want a new one…he tells me this is just the way it is..sorry. I tell the mofo to put me through to cancelations.
-cancelations tells me that it will cost me $600 to get out of my plan but” Ma’am you have a Moto Q, and you can simmply take that into the store and swap it” this is after being on the phone for 2 hrs with the other guy WHO DIDN’T EVEN REALIZE THAT I HAD A PDA NOT A PHONE!.
-now my phone no longer logs calls, won’t change the screen pic or ring, and drags between pages.
-I go into the store to swap and i am told that i can only do the swap at one store(about half an hour away from me).I call Telus back to rail about being told i could do the swap ANYWHEREAand that i simply want a new phone, end up being on the phone for an hour, only to be escalated to the rudest man i have ever spoken too. He tell me that if i have a problem with my phone i should call motorola about thier customer service. He also tells me that i should read the fine print and to take this as a “lesson learned” WTF? Are they allowed to talk to you like this?
-I place a an order for a swap on New Years eve and i am STILL wating for a new phone
-i went in yesterday and was told that my order had only been placed on the 18th of jan not the 31st of december. I now have to wait another week for a phone i should have had 2 weeks ago.
Everyday it’s some new bullshit with them…if i had the $600 i would be done.
I posted this on the 18th, but it got lost somehow, so here’s a shortened version of the SOLUTION to my situation as posted on January 10, above. I hope this saves some of you the time that I had to spend with Telus and Lenovo.
NEWS FLASH: THE LENOVO COMPUTERS WERE NEVER INTENDED TO RUN VISTA! The hardware is optimized for XP. You must go buy XP and restart the computer with the XP disk in the disk drive to begin installation, which will mean losing any files not backed up elsewhere. Once that’s done, write down your computer model number and use another computer to get the XP network card driver software from http://www.lenovo.com. Follow the instructions to open that file, then follow the instructions to execute the little .EXE file that it will put elsewhere on your C drive. The XP internet connection will not work until you do this. You will also have to follow these same steps to get the XP speaker driver from the Lenovo website if you want to attach speakers.
The machine seems to be running fine now, but it’s beyond me why Telus didn’t warn us in advance and save an awful lot of time, hassle, frustration and plain heartache. Regards
Do not use Telus if you plan to travel to the USA or abroad….
When switching to Telus (Canada) I asked about service in the USA as I travel there often. I was informed that there were no issues with roaming and access in the US and signed a contract. When I arrived in Houston I was informed by colleagues that my cell was not working. The message they received was that the phone was not in service. I tested the number from several landlines and confirmed this finding.
I contacted Telus and altho they were helpful, they determined that Verizon (whom they partner with on the US Network in Houston) was possibly limiting their access causing my phone to be out of service intermitantly. Telus promised a 50% discount for 12 months which they honoured for only 2 months. When I inquired further, they claimed their ‘notes’ only showed an agreement of 2 months. So what have I learned… and easier way for us travellers to get better cell service at a much discounted rate…… consider signing up for a digital telephone service (this allows your friends and family to call you without incurring long distance charges to a US cell phone). Then purchase a prepaid cell service in a US city and shop around until you find good roaming rate (they’re out there!). Then use the call forward feature on your digital telephone (which offers free unlimited long distance). You never have to worry about the cell number you have and you can tell the Canadian cell providers to shove it.
We had cancelled Telus on the 17th of Decemeber because of a billing conflict and lac there after of service from them. So I called in with the intent to cancel which we thought was successful. In turn we received a bill on the 19th for 45.95 which they say was a final service bill for the service they so called said.. I said fine if it means having to get rid of this ungodly service then so be it. On Jan 11 yet again I receive a bill from Telus for an amount of 95.19 for services that haven’t been used since early December… I called them back and the incompetent call center agent I had originally dealt with had not actually cancelled my service… so yet again they cancel it and yet again I am hopeful that this time around its finally over…. nope…. today is Feb 6th and yet again I have received a bloody bill from this breathless corporate blood suckers. So back on the grind here on the phone with the call center for the 4th time in two months about a problem that was addressed and should of been taken care of months ago….they yet again tell me my service is active and they are talking to me as if they are doing me a favor for canceling my service…I am speaking in a calm stern ton to the man on the other line where he is telling me that the records show me never speaking with any one…I am starting to think that this company is being run by a room full of monkeys on typewriters…from my experience dealing with the echelon of power within Telus I have come to the realization its all a front for a giant multi provincial experiment to see how many stupid people they can employ before the foundation crumbles beneath them….PS ANY ONE TRING TO OVER RIDE THE ROBOT KEEP PRESSING 0*0* over and over and over ….
I have telus tv, internet and phone. I was late paying my bill(my fault) and they suspended tv and internet(fine). They also suspended my long distance(again fine my fault right?) Well I paid the bill I have tv and internet but no long distance. Apparently 3 years ago now they forgot to bill me for something or other, phone service, I moved around a lot kept getting phone service and internet by the way, and paying the bill. Well now they won’t reinstate my long distance even though I paid the bill and am paying for a long distance plan. The original bill went to collections(whom I do not know even if I wanted to pay it). I told telus add it to my bill I will pay it, did they? no ofcourse not Now I have been diagnosed with breast cancer and my mom and dad and sister live in B.C. and I can’t even call them to chat. Lovely isn’t it? I called telus this morning and they said to pay the collection agency I don’t want to pay the collection agency, it wasn’t my fault they forgot to bill me in the first place, and 2 years later. Like if I ran a business I would want to get paid in a timely manner for services rendered. What is with telus. I will switch companies when I am well enough to. Oh by the way extra stress on cancer patients is really bad for their recovery. I hope if I fail in this fight for my life my husband sues the ass off telus. Must go my blood is boiling….
I have signed on for a three year plan with them. the first three months are to be unlimited text messaging and calling. i have been charged for texting already. I have called and they recitfied the error for me after spending an hour on the phone bounching from rep to rep. I have had to call them 3 times in two months of service already to get my bill straightened out. Because i was considered to ahve bad credit (because of a bill I refuse to pay with rogers, go figure) i have a 200 dollar limit on my phone they disconnected my phone when i went over the 200 dollar limit and they disconnected it i called them to find out how my bill was so high in only 2 months and thats when i had found out it was cause of text messaging that was supposed to be free. While after getting the problem corrected they said they would reconnect the phone for me but i would have to pay the 30 dollar reconnection fee only after saying i would cancel my service if they did that did they say the would do it for free as a courtesy since it was my first time. all the while the only reason it had got so high was becuase of charges i had received from them that i was not supposed to be getting charged.
to sum it up I AM NOT HAPPY and i am only going into my third month of service and if it does not get straightened out by my next billing i am going to cancel my service completely
Hey Telus Mobility, Telus, MyTelus, whatever evil pseudo-name you go by today:
“Your time for honoring yourself will soon be at an end.”
In my opinion, you have ripped off one too many customers and Canadians need to know.
There is a new blog dedicated to telling your customers’ true horror stories. Sure, there are many horror stories about you online, but now it’s going to get organized. Enjoy!

TELUS IS A DICTATOR AND A COMMUNIST!!!
I WILL NEVER SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM AGAIN!
lori 02.11.07 at 5:02 pm
I can’t wait until the day my contract runs out and I can cancel service…and the moment they beg me and offer me all that they should have in the first place just to stay with them…I hope they record my hysterical laughter for “Quality Control”…
lori 02.11.07 at 5:05 pm
sooo…what’s with crossin’ moi out??? oh, maybe “quality control”… funny how the people so concerned with quality can’t deliver it themselves.

I HATE TELUS!
Dick 03.03.07 at 4:07 am
You people are hillarious. Take no responsibility for your own actions. Think that companies should babysit you. Are you crazy do you have a clue about business and contracts, no one is pulling your pants down here. Stupid is as stupid does. And the guy with pay and talk you dont get a bill moron, HENCE PAY AND TALK. HILLARIOUS.
Blue 03.14.07 at 6:02 pm
Newbee 03.15.07 at 10:45 pm
Man telus sucks i cannot even get highspeed here because they will not upgrade my phone lines i have to get stuck with paying more for dialup that for highspeed
i cannot switch to a different company because they just use the same lines as telus.
Future is friendly ya right
Janelle 03.26.07 at 1:26 pm
I HATE telus. The automated service makes me want to break my phone with my hand when it speaks to me. My bill is ALWAYs wrong, and I have to call those money grabbing bastards every flipping month to get them to change all the over charges. How many people just don’t look through thier phone bill, and have it automatically taken out of their account? Or just don’t say anything. As soon as Im done with all my contracts Im switching to Shaw. I will never deal with Telus again.
Aziz 03.27.07 at 6:31 pm
this is in regards to Darcy’s posting . well I guess you maid a huge mistake by lying to the customer . just sio you know telus as any other provider NEVER ADVERSTISED THE UNLIMITED DATA USAGE . the abuse is charged and the plan offered 250 MB .
Aziz 03.27.07 at 6:35 pm
At janelle and the others> The automated service was build to simplify the treatments of the calls by dispatching them to the correct reps. you still have the otion to be transfered to a rep as any other other automated service by the way > PRESS 0…. basic knowledge actually Hope this will help you next time
Aziz 03.27.07 at 6:40 pm
BLUES you really are stupid i m sorry to say that : you have a pay& talk and you were expecting a bill ?? And you dare write it ?? Are you that stupid . You don’t deserve a cellphone neither a basic electronic device. Just hold with you fridge and your black and white tv … you will be fine . The 21 rst century is definiteley not for you!!!
Aziz 03.27.07 at 6:45 pm
Brent > You make an overpayment and you have adue balance . The comon business sense would be to take that overpayment and pay the due amount what’s the point of sending them the money and then wait until you will receive a cheque by the mail ???
Gosh do you guys have a brain ????
Aziz 03.27.07 at 6:53 pm
1940 You claim that to be a ” video ” ?? okay … you just bitching abou telus ..that ’s a video … grow up !
Blue 04.02.07 at 8:52 am
Aziz, the bill was for my regular home phone, I shut down my pay & talk out of anger because they sent my home bill late. I use a Ci Ci card to reduce long distant calls. Sorry if it was not clear to you!.. and your right I don’t deserve a cell phone, I’ve learned to get along fine without one. Even less money to greedy phone companies, and I don’t have a TV (weapon of mass distraction) either. TV turn off week April 23-29 http://www.turntvoff.org
Aziz 04.05.07 at 5:49 pm
well Blue you have a problem with your home phone and you shut down your cell phone . did’nt you know that the wireline and the wireless services are different .
Faune 04.11.07 at 9:53 am
Mike 04.17.07 at 10:31 pm
Hate Telus 04.23.07 at 9:20 pm
I HATE TELUS!!! Working there is worse. Do you know why? Because Telus’s customers are whiners. They whine about their bills, about their service. Come on people, SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!! we here to provide a good customer service and you guys just abuse them. For people who work for retail, you know what that is like.

in 2004 i signed a contract for mobility service.there catch was, sign up now and receive 3 months of service free.well after 3 months i received a bill for the first 3 months that was supposed to be free.i was furious,i called telus and told them that this was out ragous andi was being ripped off.they told me that the center that served me must have made a mistake and that i owed telus 3 months bill.i immediately told telus that they breached their contract and i wanted to discontinue there service.i never turned the phone on after that.sometime later i received a letter in the mail from a collection firm stating that i owed them over $700.00 for my telus bill.i called the collection firm and told them what had happened to me.they said that they would look into it for me.i called telus back and asked why i was in the credit department.they told me that if i didn’t pay my bill thats where i go.i told them what had happened to me and that if i missed a payment that i would be cut off.well the shoe is on the other foot.i feel that a contract was breached and i didn’t need there services anymore.they told me that they would look into it and rectify any problems.they never got back to me.im still in the credit burough

Jonathan S 08.17.07 at 12:41 pm
Leo Maxwell 08.20.07 at 7:24 pm
Leo
Leo Maxwell 08.20.07 at 7:40 pm
I am sure someone will have a “nasty” reply for my observations
telusfriend 09.08.07 at 1:11 pm
Telus is one of the most apreciated telecom provider in Canada, 80% of your complain are nonsence (by example if u can’t have highspeed it’s because you living too far from civilisation). Telus is a compagny who try to offer the best service possible ok. And by the way if you don’t like to talk to a machine just press 0 you stupid
really hates telus 09.11.07 at 10:01 pm
I am seriously considering moving….
mrmagoo 09.17.07 at 2:00 pm
Well i will break it out to 3 parts for you…
Wireline:
if you dont like the prices or install move charges, thats too bad. If you dont agree, buy a shovel, go to home depot and purchase 500m of telephone cable that is outdoor rated and some conduit to run it in, and do it in November.
mrmagoo 09.17.07 at 2:08 pm
Wireless and Contracts:
Nobody is making you, and dont forget, people leave shaw for telus too, so i dont think that makes telus the only company people are unhappy with….
mrmagoo 09.17.07 at 2:24 pm
Company:
Stef 09.19.07 at 1:02 pm
I have a phone that has finished it’s Telus contract and I moved to an area that doesn’t have full digital coverage. Telus told me that i’d be fully covered in this region which I’m not. THEN I tried to place a call and was automatically routed to Telus. They said that I have no coverage in that area and didn’t believe me when i was actually talking to them via my cell phone.
Now I have to switch networks but my phone apparently “belongs to telus” according to them.
Slightly annoying.
Donita 09.25.07 at 7:38 pm
As crappy as Telus is, they have improved immensely over the last year or so. I guess all the complaints to the CRTC had an effect. If you have a problem with Telus, that is one recourse - complain to the CRTC.
inslowmo 09.26.07 at 6:31 pm

Does anyone know of a link to this info?
I’m coming up empty-handed.

Fucking morrons…it’s looks like monopolly, becuase all other cell companies the SAME.
someone who just signed up for telus 11.28.07 at 6:54 am

Every time you call these a-hols they have some college dropout phone rep. who seems to have perfect understanding of the “business world”. idiots!
mike 11.30.07 at 12:22 am
Aziz — I suppose you will tell us how a business works?? what the hell are you still doing in a freaking call center??!
Nora 11.30.07 at 1:23 am
I totally HATE tellus. they r rude and stupid cheaters
Natalie M 12.01.07 at 2:37 pm
Tom 12.03.07 at 10:40 pm
TELUS are a band of lying stealing swindlers. They charge me a fortune for a crappy phone (two shit Nokias and a crappy razr)and simply smile and say sorry when I fail to get calls and messages on a regular basis. If there was an alternative I’d pay the break fee. Don’t sign a contract with these fucktards. I hope they go bankrupt. The government is also screwing as all by allowing a cell phone monopoly to exist in canada.
Tom Gilgan 12.07.07 at 1:16 pm

Tom 12.23.07 at 8:36 pm

Mark 01.10.08 at 1:37 am
TIA!

TELUS CELL PHONE CO. = TERRIBLE
Spenny 01.12.08 at 3:27 pm
Telus sucks. I cant wait until my family switches to shaw. Playing an online game on the internet, and bam, 3 minutes of down time, and then bam, works again. FUCK YOU telus, we pay you decent money for shitty internet and service. I truely hope your company fails in the next 10 years for causing so much unneeded stress in the average persons life. To your committed employees, I would blush if anyone asked me where I worked.
Jack Ass 01.13.08 at 11:07 pm
Spencer 01.14.08 at 10:18 pm
Fuck you telus, fuck you. I can’t connect to my work SMTP server while I’m on your shitty network, and I can’t use your fucking SMTP server while I’m outside of your network.
Is this catch 22 a way of discouraging users from using SMTP at all? You fucking jackasses are never going to get another penny of out me, my family, and if I can help it, my friends.

screwed over in Toronto 01.23.08 at 5:55 pm
Mark 02.01.08 at 1:38 am
Regards
Lisa 02.02.08 at 6:01 pm

Enjoy!
P.S. This Grandinite blog rocks.
