Canadian Cynic: Way Too Cynical
I completely disagree with Canadian Cynic’s take on media coverage of the three teenage Christian girls that were beheaded in Indonesia recently.

Michelle’s upset ‘cuz, you see, Christians are worth more than the rest of us. Don’t make Michelle have to explain this to you, OK?
This is sort of analysis is totally out to lunch. To a Christian, a beheading is the ultimate form of persecution cumulating in martyrdom. The Apostle Paul was beheaded, as was John the Baptist. Beheadings are seen as a sign of the End of the Age, where Christians will be beheaded en masse during the Great Persecution.
These girls were killed for the sole reason they were Christians and were martyred in the most extreme fashion known to Christians, which is why the attack is so disturbing.
