About:

An Alberta based blog written by an Economist who has lived all over the province. I am an Information Maven, and I try to provide Albertans with information they won't find in their mainstream media. You might not believe it, but there are thousands of stories you will never learn of if you stick to reading your local MSM rag. I am generally apolitical, but am partial to the Green Libertarianism of Henry David Thoreau. I am also responsible for Alberta Blogs, a collection of bloggers united by nothing more than their love of Alberta. I live in Calgary, you can reach me at: aaron.braaten [at] gmail.com, and I'm on Twitter @abraaten.

Conspiracy! Bilderberg Connection to Cartoons

I know, I know, just because someone met with someone or was seen in a public washroom peeing next to them, this does not mean a conspiracy is afoot. But I found this connection interesting:

mathaba.net

Another prominent participant in the Bavarian Bilderberger group was Anders Eldrep of Denmark, a Bilderberger regular over the last five years. This Anders Eldrep (or Eldrup),the chairman of DONG (Danish Oil and Natural Gas), is the husband of Merete Eldrep, the managing director of JP/Politikens Hus (JP for Jyllands-Posten), the Danish publishing firm which owns the newspaper which first published the Mohammed cartoons.

Man, Denmark is getting pretty bratty as of late. First they try to start WW4 over Hans Island to unleash the wrath of Canada’s imperialist might, and now they’ve gone and pissed off the entire Muslim world.

In a way, I sort of buy the theory that the global elites need a Clash of Civilizations as a dialectic through which to advance their so-called New World DisOrder. I mean, provocate the extremists in order to taint the moderates as just as crazy. It makes for better television when the media opts not to interview the moderate Muslim cleric with three Ph.D. degrees and instead the extremist with an AK-47 ejecting rounds into the air while he screams “LiLiLiLiLi! Allah al Akbar!” gets the spotlight.
