The Bilderberg Predictor

Pierre Bourque has an interesting poll up on his website concerning who his readers think will become the leader of the Federal Liberal Party. Interestingly, Brian Neale has a link to a Toronto Star article about Bob Pritchard, CEO of Torstar, possibly making a run for the job. If the Bilderberg Predictor is correct, either Prichard or McKenna are shoe-ins for this postition, as they have been known to attend a Bilderberg meeting or two in their day. According to the 2005 list of Bilderberg attendees, both McKenna and Pritchard were able to attend last year’s meeting. Even Antonia blogged about it.

Way back in the days when the Conservatives were in a transition period and in search for a new leader, Stronach and Harper were seen as the two main hopefuls. I wrote about it in 2004 for The Gateway, and I wrote:

A 1987 issue of the Economist magazine once declared: “when you have scaled the Bilderberg, you have arrived.” This is why Stephen Harper’s recent attendance at the 2003 Bilderberg meeting has such significance, as it indicates that the global ruling class has placed its long-term bets on Harper. This is important for the Conservative leadership race, as Belinda Stronach has only captured the hearts of the World Economic Forum crowd, who rank lower in the global-ruling food chain. However, the real leadership race is amongst the partisan plebeians, and in all likelihood, the globalists can only hope for a positive outcome.

Yep. Belinda Stronach, she of the World Economic Forum circles, will try to make a bid at the Liberal Leadership position, but she’ll have to oust McKenna and Prichard, who have, in a way, been ‘pre-approved’ by the global elite for leadership. You have to remember that Tony Blair and Bill Clinton were pretty much unknowns until after they had attended Bilderberg meetings.

I’m not suggesting a conspiracy here, as most people would. Maybe the Bilderberg crowd are just good at picking winners. The Bilderberg Predictor has proven right for me once thus far in terms of Harper’s race to the top of the Conservative party. It proved correct when it came to Paul Martin’s rise to the top, and almost came to light via Sheila Copps’ questioning of Martin’s campaign contributors. It’s proven to be a good indicator with respect to Clinton and Blair. Barring an invite to this year’s Bilderberg meeting, however, I doubt that Stronach will squeak past McKenna and Prichard. My bets are on Prichard, as McKenna has had an ambivalent commitment when it comes to vying for the spot of “top dog’.

I guess all I can do is cross my fingers and hope that the Bilderberg Predictor proves correct in this case. And maybe they’ll invite me to a conference to live-blog it so we can actually have some dialogue about this group of global leaders without using the words ’shadowy’ and ’secretive’. I’ll have to write Maja again.
