I just wrote a long-ass blog post, full of rambling insight, coupled with my well-honed wit and salted with awesomeness passed down to me from my father, and in turn, his father before him.
Then I deleted it.
It felt great to write something that could have changed someone’s life. Somehow God could have used this brain of mine to process something in a way you haven’t seen it before, and you would walk away from this blog entry with some fresh insight into the world. Perhaps there would be a valuable life lesson or moral in my now-defunct verbiage. I probably would have added a quote or two from someone more adept with words than I, and maybe, just maybe, that shred of processed info would have affected some decision of yours somewhere down the line. In theory, this would set off a whole other series of choices through something approaching the Butterfly Effect, and my idea would outlive even me, and thereby change the world.
But I guess we’ll never know.
